Human Resources Coordinator – Central Sulawesi

ROLE PURPOSE:

Following the earthquake and tsunami disasters on 28 September 2018 in Central Sulawesi, Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik (YSTC), partner of Save the Children is responding to this Category 2 disaster. Approximately 120 new staff has been recruited to support various programmes in Central Sulawesi project.

The role holder will provide appropriate, timely and professional human resources management service to make sure that recruitment process done properly in line with prevailing procedure and provide effective way to recruit employee with right skill in the right time and ensure all the employee working for YSTC have relevant and valid contractual documents. S/he will support the HR Manager in updating recruitment strategy, in line with the global guideline, country law and workforce market requirement.  S/he will also be responsible for the continuous improvement of HR processes and will work with HR Manager to support socialisation of HR policy, Recruitment Process, Performance Assessment, Non-staff hiring policy, and local labour regulations. S/he will also oversee the staff on-boarding and induction program.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

• Reports to: HR Manager, Support Service Manager
• Employee directly reporting to this post: 1 HR Assistant
• Budget Responsibilities: N/A
• Other Reporting and Coordination Responsibilities:  The HR Coordinator is expected to work in close cooperation with Coordinators and Managers in the field offices.
• Dimension: Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik is the leading NGO that focuses on children affected by Palu earthquake & tsunami disaster with a forecasting staff complement of approximately 200 staff and expenditure of approximately 30 (thirty) million USD.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Willing to be based in Palu, Central Sulawesi
• Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HR, with a reputed national or international organization
• First rate organizational skills with a strong eye for detail and the ability to prioritize effectively whilst working to tight deadlines
• Strong understanding of the recruitment life cycle
• Experience of coordinating on boarding processes
• Ideally, experience gained within either an international or NGO environment
• Ability and confidence to communicate appropriately with people of all levels, both internally and externally
• Good verbal/written communication skills and a clear understanding and awareness of HR protocol
• Flexible and organized approach to handling a varying workload
• Understands the importance of confidentiality
• Knowledge in general HR management
• Experience in HR information system
