RESOURCE ESTIMATION MODELLING GEOLOGIST (Job Code : REMG/VII/20)
(Location: Jakarta Office)

An opportunity currently exists for a Resource Estimation Modelling Geologist to join our Jakarta team. This position is responsible for the delivery of high-quality resource models for use as input for mine planning and ore reserves.

Position Description
Reports to the Head of Mineral Resources and is responsible for geological resource modelling and providing technical input for the resource estimation models. Working with the Head of Mineral Resources, the incumbent will work collaboratively with both the exploration and mine geology teams to develop appropriate models, that reflect not only the drill/exploration results, but also take into account existing mining evidence and historic reconciliation of existing resources and reserves.
The incumbent will assist in ensuring that Mineral Resource models produced are suitable as input for mine planning and are compliant with Company Policy, Industry Standards and Government regulations over the COW’s.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure data quality through robust data validation.
• Generate geological interpretations and 3D models suitable for use in resource modelling.
• Deliver resource models on time and fit for purpose as inputs for mine planning.
• Engage with exploration and mine geology teams, to ensure that high-quality models are delivered prior to mining.
• Prepare technical reports as required for management.
• Assist to prepare JORC and KCMI compliant Competent Person reports for resource models.
• Proven commitment to safety.
• Contribute to a team culture of continuous improvement aligned with PT Archi Mining values.
• Essential Qualifications and Skills
• Recognised Tertiary qualification in Geology (BSc).
• Minimum five years in technical exploration or mining role.
• Minimum three years 3D geological resource modelling (resource estimation experience desirable) with preferred experience being in epithermal gold deposits.
• Strong proficiency utilising Leapfrog or Surpac geological and modelling software.
• Ability to work with a small team whilst being highly capable to work alone and get the required job done.
• Highly motivated with good communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to critically analyse data and results for fatal flaws.
• Good overall understanding of gold epithermal mineralisation systems.
• Able to demonstrate the awareness of corporate safety & environmental.
• Desirable Qualifications and Skills
• Member of an Indonesian Professional Mining Industry Organisation (Perhapi or MGEI), or an internationally recognised Professional Mining Industry Organisation (AusIMM, AIG or other RPO).
• Understanding of the requirements of the resource reporting codes (eg KCMI, JORC).
• Experience in statistical analysis and resource estimation.
