Position: Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Coordinator, Jambi
Qualifications:
- Fluency or working proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia
- Ability to organize, collate, analyse and interpret information and data (both qualitative and quantitative) on the ecological and social aspects of conservation
- Ability to manage databases
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) to a range of audiences
- Ability to think laterally and creatively
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proven ability to work sensitively with a range of local partners
- Fluency or working proficiency in English
- A relevant first degree relating to conservation or related discipline
- Experience in collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data including: SMART patrol data, village data, data licensing, camera traps, biodiversity monitoring, species monitoring, wellbeing monitoring, Spatial data, for example using the Hansen datasets
- Experience of working with social forestry approaches to conservation
- Understanding of sustainable enterprises and livelihoods approaches
- Building trust & good relationships with communities
- An understanding of and experience of working in or with international NGOs
- Familiarity with Participatory tools that encourage joint analysis, learning and action.
